What is Holding Capacity? At its core, Holding Capacity is a measurement of a station's ability to hold revenue within a market. It plays a crucial role in analyzing cost per rating or impression point, helping stations understand their expected market revenue share.

Key Components of a Holding Capacity Model:

  1. Market Share Overview:

    • The initial chart displays your station's holding capacity share. Different colors represent various stations, allowing for easy comparison.
  2. Revenue Share and Performance Index:

    • Revenue share, derived from third-party financial audits, is depicted in red. The performance index compares the expected share to the actual share a station receives and is depicted by a dotted red line.

  1. Customizable Time Periods: Customize the X-axis periods using the "Time Period" drop-down option at the top of the screen.
  2. Plot Type: Switch between overall holding capacity shares, TRP shares, or raw TRPS. 
  3. X-Axis: Allows you to choose between a quarter and yearly view.
  4. Revenue Type: Allows you to select one or multiple revenue types.
  5. Chart Legend: Select other stations in the market, or see national averages by clicking directly on the name.
